Before a single nail goes in, I'll build a detailed 3D model of your project in SketchUp so you can see exactly what you're agreeing to: floor to ceiling, every fixture placed, nothing left to imagination. Clear photos of the existing space are needed alongside your plans so placement and proportions are accurate.

If your contractor hasn't provided detailed plans, or if you want the model built from your actual space rather than what's on paper, I'll come out and take the measurements myself. Everything else is the same — a full 3D model built to the dimensions of your real room.

Every engagement starts the same way — you send me the quote, plans, or details of your project, and I get to work. No sales pitch. No upsell at the end. Just a clear, independent read on what you're dealing with.
For visual modeling, what you get is a realistic view of your finished room — not a sketch or a mood board, but a proper 3D model with every fixture in place. If something doesn't look right, that's a conversation to have with your contractor before you sign, not after the demo is done.
If you want changes to the layout or design, that conversation is between you and your contractor. My job is to show you what their plan actually looks like — not to redesign it. That independence is what keeps the advice honest.

What format should I send my quote in?
PDF, photo, or any format you have — whatever your contractor gave you. If you have the original plans or drawings, include those too. The more detail the better.
What if I want to change things after seeing the visual model?
Any changes go back to your contractor — that's the whole point. You see the model, decide whether it matches what you want, and either approve it or go back with specific questions. I'm not a designer; I'm showing you their plan.
If the contractor revises the quote or plans, can I get an updated model?
Yes — a revised plan is a new modeling job at the same rate. In practice, most homeowners use the first model to get alignment, then sign off. Revisions are less common than you'd expect once both sides can see the same picture.
Are you a contractor?
No — I'm a home renovation consultant with 20+ years in the trades, including five years running my own contracting business. I know how quotes are written because I wrote them. I don't sell renovation work anymore, and I have no contractor relationships. That independence is the point.
Do you only work in Rockingham County?
In-person and on-site services are within 30 miles of Harrisonburg. Remote quote reviews and visual models built from emailed plans are available anywhere.
When is the right time to reach out?
